What Beauty Brain is

Beauty Brain is software for independent beauty professionals. It builds and hosts your website, takes bookings, sends texts to your clients on your behalf, and helps with your marketing. By using it you agree to these terms.

Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Keep your sign-in to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Give accurate information about yourself and your business, because we use it to register your texting number and bill you.

Plans and payment

There are two plans: Regular at $199 a month and SEO at $399 a month. Paying yearly costs 10 months for 12. Monthly plans start with a one-time $199 setup fee, which is waived on yearly plans.

Plans renew automatically until you cancel. Payments are taken by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Prices can change, but we will tell you at least 30 days before a change affects you.

If a payment fails we try again and let you know. Everything keeps working for 10 days. After that your site goes offline and automatic texts pause until payment goes through. We never delete an account over a declined card.

Cancelling

You can cancel any time from Your plan. There are no contracts and no cancellation fee. Your plan runs to the end of the time you have paid for. We do not refund part of a month or year, or the setup fee once your setup call has happened.

After your plan ends your site goes offline and texting stops. We keep your data for 60 days so you can come back without starting over, then delete it. You can ask for a copy of your client list at any time.

What is yours

Your client list, your photos, your words and your domain name are yours. You give us permission to use them only to run the service for you. If you leave, you keep them. A domain bought through Beauty Brain is registered in your name and can be transferred out.

Texting your clients

Texts are sent in your business's name to your own clients. You agree to text only people who have agreed to hear from you, to honor every request to stop, and to follow the law and carrier rules on business texting. We register your number with the carriers using the details you give us. We may hold or stop messages that break those rules.

Writing done by AI

Much of what Beauty Brain writes for you (website pages, posts, drafts of texts) is written by AI from what you tell us. You approve it before it is published or sent in most cases, and you are responsible for what goes out under your name. Tell us about anything inaccurate and we will fix it.

Search results

The SEO plan is the ongoing work of making your site easier to find and reporting honestly on how it is doing. Nobody can promise a position on Google, and we do not.

Taking payments from your clients

Card payments from your clients go through your own Stripe or Square account. Their fees, payouts, disputes and taxes are between you and them.

What we ask of you

Do not use Beauty Brain for anything illegal, to send spam, to mislead clients, or to store information you have no right to hold. We may suspend an account that puts clients or the service at risk, and will tell you why.

The service as it is

We work hard to keep Beauty Brain running and correct, but it is provided as is, without warranties. We rely on other companies for hosting, texting, payments and search data, and their outages can affect us.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Beauty Brain is not liable for lost profits, lost bookings or other indirect losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before it arose.

We may update these terms and will tell you before a change that matters takes effect. Questions go to the support address shown in the app.
